La Perla Farm is situated at 1,500 meters above sea level, within the mountainous area of Ixhuacan de los Reyes.The farm’s unique microclimate, a mix of cool, dry conditions with frequent fog, creates an ideal environment for slow fruit maturation, enhancing sweetness and complexity in the beans. Owned by Ernesto Perez’s family for three generations, the land was unplanted until 2021. The decision to grow coffee there immediatelty proved successful; in 2024, La Perla won the Cup of Excellence with a coffee from its very first harvest. .
