Nyungwe
The Nyungwe Site is a small washing station in Rwanda’s Western Province. Located at 1,776 meters above sea level on just 1.1 hectares, it borders Nyungwe Forest National Park, home to the farthest source of the Nile River. Originally constructed in 2006 and acquired by Rwanda Trading Company (RTC) in 2013, the station works with about 1,000 smallholder farmers to process exceptional coffees grown in the region’s rich volcanic soils and cool mountain climate.
This lot is a Natural Red Bourbon offering a juicy, spice-driven cup profile with notes of black tea, cherry, and dried fig. The natural process enhances the coffee’s ripe fruit sweetness and depth while preserving the elegant structure and clarity that make high-grown Rwandan Arabica so distinctive.
Price range: $19.99 through $119.99
