Robel Kidane

Founded by Q-processing professional Robel Kidane and his family, Lulo Coffee is a vertically integrated Ethiopian coffee producer and exporter dedicated to quality, transparency, and sustainability. Rooted in Robel’s hometown of Dilla—an historic hub of the Ethiopian coffee trade surrounded by Sidama, Yirgacheffe, West Arsi, and Guji—the company sources from these famed regions, producing some of Ethiopia’s most distinctive specialty coffees. Since 2017, Little City has proudly partnered with Lulo to bring these exceptional coffees to the U.S. market.

Through its signature program, The Lulo Promise, Lulo works directly with individual farmers to produce truly traceable, single-farm microlots—an uncommon practice in Ethiopia. Identifyng and partnering with high potential farms, the company manages processing, logistics, and export while passing up to 88% of the final value back to the farmer, creating transparency for buyers and transformational impact for coffee growers and their communities.
