Nestled in the mountainous southwest corner of China, Yunnan has long been known for its rich agricultural heritage—from ancient tea forests to prized mushrooms and vibrant spice markets. With high altitudes and a long history of hillside cultivation, Yunnan is now establishing itself as a top origin for high-quality specialty coffee.

Yihan Wang is part of a new generation of growers exploring the region’s potential by introducing distinctive cultivars like Gesha and refining post-harvest techniques. Last harvest, he produced only 20 kilograms of this Red Dragon Gesha—a truly rare offering we’re proud to bring to Austin through years of travel and collaboration in Yunnan. This microlot is delicate and expressive, with floral notes of jasmine, bright lemon zest, and a soft touch of apricot—an elegant reflection of both variety and place.
