Description

With over thirty cultivars, excellent plant genetics, and state-of-the-art processing techniques, Anabella Meneses is continually elevating Santa Felisa’s reputation for rare and unique nano-lots. A yearly auction for their top coffees often fetches record prices, and they have won numerous awards including the prestigious top prize at 2017’s Cup of Excellence. This year Little City is featuring three unique lots from Santa Felisa that showcase a wide range of profiles derived from Anabella’s mastery of harvest and post-harvest techniques. Try them all for one special price while supplies last.

Gesha Washed: This lot of Geisha 2722 (aka Panama Geisha) was harvested at 23 brix, submitted to anaerobic fermentation for 18 hours and then depulped and dry fermented for 42 hours. After washing, the coffee was submerged to soak in parchment for another eight hours before drying on raised beds for 10 days.

Gesha Natural: This lot of Geisha 2722 (aka Panama Geisha) was hand-picked and underwent a bulk fermentation–aided by yeast and lactic acid bacteria–for three days before slowly drying on the farm’s raised African beds under strict temperature control. The resulting sweetness and complexity demonstrate a mastery of post-harvest processing that has gained Anabella and Santa Felisa international acclaim.

Pacamara Natural: This naturally-processed lot of Red Pacamara was slow-dried on the farm’s raised African beds and is flavor forward with notes of dark chocolate, ripe red grapes and bright citrus fruits. These bold flavors, along with the coffee’s heavy body and syrupy mouthfeel offer a nice counterpoint to our other, more delicate, Gesha offerings from Santa Felisa.
