Pingalar, Myanmar 2019
Pingalar is a Pa-O village in the Shan State of Myanmar. Here, over 100 families grow coffee and contribute to high quality community lots that are exported through our partners at Behind the Leaf. Among these growers, U Nay Aung serves as the village buyer and teaches selective picking techniques and other best practices. The growers’ dedication to education and quality places Pingalar’s coffee among the best that we’ve sampled from Myanmar in recent years. This naturally processed lot is fruity and complex with notes of black tea, grape, and walnuts.
